Join the Vintners' Ski Team in Morzine and help defend the Company's 2015 Inter-Livery Champions title!
The Vintners' team is a mix of skiers of all abilities coming together to ensure the event is great fun and enabling the Company to compete strongly in all divisions. The Vintners' Company supports the team by covering the cost of the event entry fee for each Member. Members are responsible for making their own arrangements with regard their travel and their guests. Please liaise with the Skiing Captain, Liveryman George Stoy, if you would like to take part and for assistance with accommodation and travel suggestions. It would be great to get some new skiers on board this year!
SWAN LIFELINE CLEANUP
Vintner Volunteers ready for action!
The Swan Warden, Nick Arkell, would like to thank all those who turned out for the Swan Lifeline Clean Up at Cuckoo Weir last month. The volunteers assisted with general pruning, trimming, tidying up of the grounds and cleaning. After a period of uncertainty, Swan Lifeline is extremely grateful for our help to get fully up and running once more.
VINTNERS' FOUNDATION CHARITY VISIT TO COUNSELLING PASTORAL TRUST (CPT)
A Vintners’ Foundation supported mental health charity for stressed-out City workers.
A party of eleven Vintners, both Liverymen and Freemen, spent an evening with Counselling Pastoral Trust (CPT) at their base at the Bishop’s Palace, Fulham. CPT is one of our ‘favoured ‘ charities which receive an above average grant annually from the Vintners’ Foundation.
The evening was spent learning more about the work of CPT and meeting some of the charity's clients. The Upper Warden and Chairman of the Vintners' Foundation Committee, Robert Rolls, would like to thank those who attended. It was an excellent way for members to witness the difference their support can make to the lives of others. A copy of the Upper Warden's report on the evening can be viewed HERE. Further details of the work of CPT can be found HERE.
