Congratulations to our new Liverymen

A warm congratulations to our eight new Liverymen, who were welcomed at February’s Court meeting.

Nell Redmayne - is a brand strategist and copywriter, working on brand positionings, mission statements, stories, consumer portraits, company naming, brand guidelines and everything in between. Following her graduation in English Literature, Nell trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School before working for various food startups, a food education charity and a brand consultancy, before starting up her own business.

James King - has been actively involved with the UK wine trade for nearly 20 years. Since 2001 he has been running his own winery, Chateau Unang, in the Rhone valley and selling wine into the UK.

Josephine Ross - is a fluent French speaker so wine, especially Bordeaux, has been a serious interest for a number of years. Josephine’s formal wine education began when she studied in Paris for three years. She joined Justerini & Brooks in 2012, starting off as Broking Administrator, before being promoted to her current role as Assistant Broker.

Mark Pettit - is a Wine Trade professional with nearly 20 years’ sales experience across both the on and off trade channels. He is currently Sales Director at Off Piste Wines.

Rachel Metcalfe -Rachel is a Senior Producer and Edit Producer for television. Her father is well-known wine critic Charles Metcalfe.

Alastair King - is Founder and Chairman of Naisbitt King Asset Management Limited. an FCA-authorised asset management company, but started his career as a lawyer and practice­­­d as a solicitor at a leading international law firm. Alastair was first elected as a Common Councillor for the Ward of Queenhithe (where he resides) in 1999, was then elected Alderman in 2016 and served as Sheriff of the City of London 2022-2023. He is also a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London. Subject to election he will become the next Lord Mayor in November 2024.

Tim Triptree - is a Master of Wine and International Director at Christie’s with over 16 years of wine & spirits auction experience, including four years in Asia. He holds a WSET Diploma (Distinction) and an MBA (Distinction) in Wine Business Management.

Jaspreet Hodgson - holds a WSET Diploma and is Commercial Account Manager at Goedhuis Waddesdon. She is also an Apprentice Member of the Vintners’ Foundation Committee and a Common Councillor for the Vintry Ward within the City of London Corporation.
