Royal Tank Regiment Cambrai Awards

This week the Company gave a warm Vintners’ welcome to our friends at the Royal Tank Regiment - a close association which has been ongoing for nearly 20 years. The personnel, many of whom who had returned from deployment overseas, gathered at Vintners’ Hall for the Regiment’s Cambrai Awards to recognise the hard work and endeavours of the recipients.

The Cambrai Awards were created to commemorate the landmark Battle of the same name in 1917, and are named after former members of the Regiment. The winners of the 2023 Cambrai Awards were as follows:

The Corposal Glaister Trophy - awarded to the best Junior Non-Commissioned Officer: LCpl Gilford

The Buck kite Trophy - awarded to the best Warrant Officer or Senior Non-Commissioner Officer: SSgt Daulby

The Rupert Brookshaw Trophy - awarded to the Officer contributing most towards regimental Sport.: Lt Lawrence

The Mark Powell Cup - awarded to the best troup within the Regiment: As Officer Commanding, Capt. McKenna received the award on behalf of the Light Aid Detachment.
