Master’s Barrier to Hall Row

Congratulations to Master Vintner Richard Wilson MBE DL VR and his crew, who today successfully conquered the Thames, rowing a traditional Cutter from the Thames Barrier to Vintners’ Hall through the tide, busy river traffic and some challenging weather.

A huge thank you to our Swan Uppers John Dwan, Bob Prentice, 'Milky' Prentice and Roger Spencer, as well as John Sage from Favoured Charity London Youth Rowing, Coxswain Anya and the wider support crew from the Ahoy Centre, plus everyone who donated, followed the challenge, and welcomed the crew ashore. Your generosity will help the Vintners' Foundation continue its vital support for the swan charities that care for one of the Thames' most iconic treasures.

It was a day of determination, teamwork and Thames tradition. A wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together for a shared cause.
