Master’s Installation 2025
Master Vintner Richard Wilson and his Consort, Claire Wilson
On Wednesday 9 July 2025, Mr Richard Wilson MBE DL VR was installed as the 530th Master of the Vintners’ Company.
“It is a great honour and privilege to be Master Vintner for the ensuing year.
To represent all our membership, permanent staff and for what we stand and deliver will be very important to me and the Consort”
The Master ‘badged’ his Wardens as follows:
Upper Warden: Ian Harris MBE
Renter Warden: James Handford MW
Swan Warden: James Davy
The events of the day were attended by over 160 Members, guests and staff of the Vintners’ Company.
Following the Ceremony of Installation in the Company’s Court Room, the newly installed Master, his Wardens and members of the Livery processed, in traditional form, to St James Garlickhythe Church for the annual Installation Church Service. A buffet lunch was served at Vintners’ Hall following the Church Service.

The installation of the new Master and Wardens takes place at the July Court meeting each year. The date, the second Wednesday in July, is fixed by Charter.
