Christmas Wrapping Day
A huge thank you to all our Elves who gave up their time to join us for last week’s Christmas Wrapping Day. It was a great day of fellowship, all in support of the Salvation Army’s Children’s Christmas Appeal.
Well done to Liveryman Nick Room and Zoe, mother of Freeman Emily Charlesworth, who took the honours as this year’s Christmas Jumper champions — with even tougher competition than last year!
We’re delighted to share that this year’s Appeal has raised over £16,000. Thanks to your generosity, more than 1,000 presents were ready to be wrapped at 9.00am on Friday 12 December, and by midday they had all been beautifully wrapped and expertly stacked by Ned and Liveryman Simon McMurtrie, just in time for the Company’s Christmas Carol Service at St James Garlickhythe. Our deepest appreciation also goes to everyone who helped load the Salvation Army van after Tuesday’s Carol Service.
Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Christmas Appeal — your generosity will help make a real difference to children and their families this festive season.
